Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a slow, atmospheric adventure and easily my favorite from this batch. You wander a foggy town, solve environmental puzzles, and slowly piece together what happened to the people who lived there. It leans on mood over action, and it earns that mood.

Controls are tap-to-move and tap-to-interact, with a smart hint system if you get stuck. Nothing here fights the touchscreen. The art is hand-drawn and the whole thing sips battery, which surprised me given how good it looks.

This is a headphones-on, dark-room kind of game. If you enjoy a story that trusts you to notice things, spend an evening with it. I finished it in two sittings and immediately wanted more.
