About

Pocket Verdict started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. At some point the notes got too long, so we turned them into a site. Nothing fancy, just people who play a lot and like writing down what they think.

We don't chase every new release. A game gets a full review only after someone on the team has spent real hours with it, on real devices, across a few sessions. We care about how a game feels on day three, not just the first shiny minute.

When we pick titles for the catalog we try to keep the mix wide: role-playing, strategy, racing, the odd puzzle, a cozy simulator. Different phones, different tastes, different battery budgets. We test on both a mid-range Android and an older iPhone so we can tell you when something runs hot or drains fast.

Everything here is written by us, for readers who want a straight answer before they hit download. If we didn't enjoy something, we'll say so, and we'll try to explain why in a way that helps you decide.
